Exhibition
The exhibition will take place from March 28 to June 28, 2026.
The exhibition „Feminist Avant-Garde“ is presented for the first time outside Europe, showcasing around 60 pioneering works by women artists from the 1970s selected from the VERBUND COLLECTION, complemented by selected pieces from the Museu de Arte Contemporânea’s collection in São Paulo.
Artists such as VALIE EXPORT, Renate Bertlmann, and Cindy Sherman challenged patriarchal roles, using new media like photography and performance to create radically new images of womanhood from a female perspective. This exhibition is one of the most important feminist art shows today, highlighting socio-political themes that continue to resonate.
