Since its foundation in 2004, the VERBUND COLLECTION has been showing exhibitions in the Vertical Gallery at VERBUND's headquarters in Vienna and presenting the successful exhibition tour Feminist Avant-Garde of the 1970s in international museums and exhibition venues. At the same time, the VERBUND COLLECTION produces comprehensive monographs on the women artists represented in the collection as well as exhibition catalogs.
The exhibition „Feminist Avant-Garde“ is presented for the first time outside Europe, showcasing around 60 pioneering works by women artists from the 1970s selected from the VERBUND COLLECTION, complemented by selected pieces from the Museu de Arte Contemporânea’s collection in São Paulo.
